Faith Christian's Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired and only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1: 2 1)
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1: 1, John 10: 3 0, John 10: 3 7,3 8)
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,
in His virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His
vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and
in His personal return in power and glory. (Isa. 7:14, Matt. 1:23,
Luke 1:35, Heb. 4:15, Heb. 7:25, John 2:11, Heb. 9:12, Col. 1: 14,
John 11:25, Acts 1: 11, Rev. 19:11,16)
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12‑15, John 3:5,18)
We believe all are justified (acquitted of sin, declared righteousness) as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation (payment of sin debt, an atoning victim) in His blood through faith. (Romans 3:24,25)
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit, through Christ our Savior, is essential and an absolute necessity for his salvation (Romans 3:19, 23: John 3:16,19; John 5:24; Eph. 2:8, 10; Titus 3:5,6)
We believe in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Eph. 5:18, Eph. 4:30, 1 Cor. 3:16, 1 Cor. 6:19,20)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. They who are saved into eternal life and they who are lost unto eternal damnation. (John 5:28,29)
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Cor. 12:12,13, Gal. 3:26, 28)
We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God. (Gen. 1:26,28; Gen. 5:12)
